PSA Nitrogen Generator principle

In the case of adsorption equilibrium, when any adsorbent absorbs the same gas, the higher the gas pressure, the greater the adsorption amount of the adsorbent.On the contrary, the lower the pressure, the smaller the adsorption amount.As shown in the figure below:
As mentioned above, the carbon molecular sieve will absorb a amounts of oxygen, carbon dioxide and moisture.When the pressure drops to atmospheric pressure, the carbon molecular sieve absorbs very little of oxygen, carbon dioxide and water.
Pressure transformer adsorption equipment mainly consists of A and B two adsorption tower equipped with carbon molecular sieve and control system.When the compressed air (the pressure is generally 0.8MPa) passes through tower A from bottom to top, oxygen, carbon dioxide and water are adsorbed by a carbon molecular sieve, while nitrogen passes through and flows from the top of the tower.When the molecular sieve in tower A is saturated, it switches to tower B for the above adsorption process and regenerates the molecular sieve in Tower A at the same time.The so-called regeneration, about the adsorption tower gas discharged to the atmosphere, so that the pressure quickly reduced to normal pressure, so that the oxygen adsorbed, carbon dioxide and water from the molecular sieve release process.
