PSA Nitrogen Generator full name: Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA).PSA is a new gas separation technology, which has been developed rapidly in foreign countries since the late 1960s and early 1970s. Membrane separation technique
When compressed air passes through the hollow fiber membrane, oxygen, carbon dioxide and water vapor from the air are discharged into the atmosphere through holes in the hollow fiber membrane pipes. At the outlet of the membrane, large nitrogen molecules and the inert gas argon are collected and transported to the application. This nitrogen separation and extraction technology is simple and effective, requiring no moving parts. The highest purity of nitrogen can reach 99.5%.
Pressure swing adsorption technology is through solid medium to separate a single component of the gas mixture, with pressure swing adsorption technology to separate nitrogen in the air, the required solid medium is carbon molecular sieve, carbon molecular sieve selective adsorption of oxygen in the air, thus separating nitrogen and oxygen in the air under pressure.
Carbon molecular sieve is in fact porous and loose rod like carbon particles, when filled with carbon molecular sieve particles of nitrogen purification seal column filled with compressed air (the main component is nitrogen, oxygen and inert gas argon and a small amount of water vapor), carbon molecular sieve will absorb water vapor, oxygen, but nitrogen will not be adsorbed. This is mainly because the molecular size of nitrogen and oxygen is not the same, the pores on the carbon molecular sieve particles can let the small molecular size of oxygen into, but not let nitrogen into, because the molecular size of nitrogen is larger than oxygen; Thus, nitrogen and oxygen are separated.
