Product Description

Pressure swing adsorption oxygen production is to use zeolite molecular sieve as adsorbent, using the principle of pressure adsorption and pressure desorption to adsorb and release nitrogen from the air, so as to separate oxygen. Zeolite molecular sieve is a kind of spherical granular adsorbent which is processed by special pore type treatment process, and its surface and interior are full of micropores. The characteristics of its pore make it possible to realize the kinetic separation of O2 and N2. The separation of O2 and N2 by zeolites is based on the small difference of the kinetic diameters of the two gases. N2 has a faster diffusion rate in the micropores of zeolites, while O2 has a slower diffusion rate. The diffusion of water and CO2 in compressed air is similar to that of nitrogen. Finally, oxygen molecules are enriched from the adsorption tower.

Oxygen generators produce gaseous oxygen from compressed air on site and offer a cost-effective, reliable and safe alternative to traditional oxygen gas supplies such as cylinders or cryogenic liquid. According to customers' different oxygen needs, different models of oxygen generators are selected.

The whole oxygen production system, with the oxygen generator as the core, needs to support the corresponding equipment in the front and back ends of the oxygen generator, in order to complete the preparation, purification, storage and transportation of oxygen.

The supporting equipment required for the oxygen making system is purchased from different manufacturers. The manufacturers and sellers of oxygen making machine will provide standard configuration to customers according to different models of oxygen making machine. For the use of supporting equipment, please refer to the operation manual provided by each equipment manufacturer.



1. Air compressor

PSA air separation oxygen production requires low pressure air to enter the oxygen generator, and air compressor is needed to prepare low pressure air. If an oil air compressor is selected, a corresponding air filter device should be added at the back end of the air compressor.

Air compressor exhaust volume according to the specifications of the oxygen machine. It is suggested that the displacement capacity of screw air compressor is generally higher than that of oxygen generator



Air capacity is 10~15% larger, piston air compressor is generally 20~25% larger than the required exhaust capacity.

The rated exhaust pressure of air compressor is best selected as 0.5~0.7MPa, and the exhaust pressure is too high or too low.

For places with an altitude of ≥500m, atmospheric pressure should be considered when choosing air compressor. Please consult the air compressor supplier or consult our company.

The oil content in the compressed air discharged by the air compressor is recommended to be less than 10ppm w/w, and the use of oil-free air compressor is recommended.

2. Compressed air pretreatment equipment

Because the molecular sieve in the oxygen making machine has a high quality requirement for compressed air, and the gas temperature in the compressed air is high, and contains a lot of water and certain dust, oil mist, so the compressed air must be dehydrated, deoil, dust removal and other treatment before entering the oxygen making machine. This part of the equipment is mainly for this purpose.

The purification of compressed air is very important, which please do not ignore customers! Because the quality of compressed air purification is directly related to the service life of molecular sieve, so as to directly relate to the long-term effective use of oxygen generator.

Adsorption dryer or freezing dryer is mainly used for dewatering compressed air.

Different types of multistage filters with different filtration precision are mainly used for oil removal, water removal and dust removal of compressed air. Generally speaking, for oil-free air compressor, it is necessary to configure one or two stage filters, mainly for dust removal and water removal; For oil-bearing air compressor, it is necessary to configure three to four filters, mainly for oil removal, water removal and dust removal.

In the high humidity environment, it is recommended to configure special sewage tank to filter out a large amount of water vapor in the compressed air.

3. Oxygen generator

Oxygen generator is composed of three parts: adsorption tower, control cabinet, and includes skid mounted chassis, pipeline valves, solenoid valves, pressure reducing valves, efficient silencers, flow meters, pressure gauges, connecting pipelines and other accessories.

The requirements for compressed air of oxygen generator are as follows:

Air pressure: 0.5 ~ 0.7Mpa residual oil content: ≤ 0.008ppm solid impurities: ≤ 0.01 um atmospheric dew point: ≤ -23 ºC

4. Oxygen post-purification facilities

According to the gas quality requirements of medical oxygen, at the back end of the oxygen generator, it is necessary to be equipped with the corresponding purification facilities to remove dust, sterilize and remove odor from the product oxygen. The oxygen purification facilities in the later stage mainly include oxygen dust filter, oxygen sterilizing filter and oxygen deodorizing filter.

5. Oxygen storage unit

Oxygen storage tanks with appropriate capacity are generally required in the final stage of the oxygen production system. The oxygen storage tank can stabilize the oxygen pressure of the gas supply pipeline, and play the role of oxygen storage to a certain extent. In the case of power failure or failure, oxygen can be normally supplied within a certain period of time. If necessary, additional oxygen supercharger can be equipped to make more pre-stored oxygen in the oxygen storage tank and play the role of system regulation in busy/idle time.

6. Oxygen bus

Oxygen busbar is the necessary auxiliary equipment of medical oxygen production system, which plays the role of auxiliary air source and backup air source. It plays a certain role of auxiliary air supply during the operation switch of multiple units in oxygen generation system. In the case of power failure and failure, play the role of backup air source to ensure uninterrupted gas supply.

The number of oxygen cylinders in the oxygen busbar shall be provided according to customer's needs, with a maximum of 20 bottles.

5,Periodic maintenance

2.1 Air compressor

1) The lubricating oil of the air compressor and the filter element of the oil filter should be replaced after the first 2000 hours of operation, and the second time it should be replaced every 2000 ~ 4000 hours according to the air quality of the place where the equipment is used.

2) The filter element of the air filter should be replaced every 2000 ~ 6000 hours, and air purge should be used every 15 days.

3) The filter element of the oil-water separation filter should be replaced every 6000 ~ 8000 hours.

4) Radiator every 15 days with air blowing once.

5) Check whether the air compressor automatic drainage device works normally once a day.

6) Check whether the air compressor oil level is in the safe area every day. If it is not enough, please refuel in time and check the reason.

2.2 Cold and dry machine

1) Air blow the radiator of the cold dryer once every 15 days.

2) Check the cooling effect of the cold and dry machine every day.

3) Check whether the automatic drainer is drained every day. If it is damaged, do not use the equipment before maintenance and replacement.

2.3 Filter

1) replace the filter element regularly. The service life of the air line filter element is generally 3000 ~ 5000 hours. (Depending on local air quality)

2) Clean the automatic drain once a month.

3) Check whether the automatic drainer of the filter works normally every day. If not, it should be repaired or replaced in time. Before maintenance, it can be manually drained once an hour to maintain the work.

2.4 Oxygen generator

Whether the oxygen generator works normally every day, whether the adsorption pressure is between 0.5 and 0.6, and whether the gas production pressure meets the requirements.

2.5 Supercharger

1) dust and dirt on the cold fins are blown with air every 7 days.

2) Check the pressure gauge and safety valve are in good condition every day.

3) Check whether the pressure controller works normally every day.

2.6 Oxygen supply control cabinet

1) Check the operation data of the unit every day to check whether the operation status is normal.
